Podcast lunch with Eduardo Padilha, Balin House Projects
This is part of a series of lunchtime podcasts in which artists and curators discuss how they’ve developed their creative communities with Ben Roberts, Artistic Director Brighton CCA.
Balin House Projects is an artist-run, not-for-profit space by artist Eduardo Padilha at his flat in Balin House, Tabard Gardens North Estate. It provides space for exhibitions, dialogue and platform for connection with other artist-run spaces and organisations. It also creates an opportunity for the Estate’s residents to experience contemporary art of a professional and international standard, locally and in a familiar environment.
Padilha studied Fine Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Fine Art Exchange at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and he completed his studies in 1997 with an MA in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Art & Design in London. His practice crosses the mediums of drawing, film-making, and sculptural installation. The artist lives in London and Amsterdam.
