Amy Cunningham is an artist who uses the singing voice, sound, video, materials and drawing to explore patterns and glitches in technologies and environments. She has exhibited her music compositions, performances, video installations, and drawings in various galleries and spaces including, Stevens Institute of Technology, IKON Gallery, Cafe OTO, Towner Gallery, Portland Sculpture Quarry Trust, and Serpentine Gallery London.
In this online performance lecture Amy will be linking material from a series of her site-based art works. These are works that respond to the visual and sonic textures found within the edgelands of industrial and coastal environments; where lichen is a pioneer, where birds and insects go about their activities amongst aggregate, artificial lighting, metal structures, and electric cabling, where we might sense the vibrancy of non-human materials.
Please book to receive a link to attend this online talk hosted on zoom. Live captioning will be available for the event.
