Brighton CCA

A new centre for
contemporary arts at the
University of Brighton

This event is part of Billie Zangewa

REVIEW is a meet up group for artists, writers and creative practitioners that was initiated by Rachel Maloney (artist and UOB technical demonstrator in photography) and Polly Wright (Programme Producer at Brighton CCA) that began in 2022.

The format:

– Three practitioners will be given 15 minutes each to present their work, for example this could be an idea, a piece of work or a project. They are offered the slot on a first come first serve basis
– Each session will have a dedicated facilitator who will respond to each presentation and chair discussions
– There will be time at the end for further informal conversations led by the group

REVIEW in April will be hosted at Brighton CCA, 58 – 67 Grand Parade, BN2 0JY and will be facilitated by Sam Kaufman. Sam Kaufman is an artist-filmmaker and practice-based PhD researcher at Kingston School of Art, currently working with theories of nonhuman worlds, eco-poetics, and biosemiotics in the context of contemporary artists’ moving image.
