We invited three independent publishers and distributors, working across the UK, to respond to The Daily Winds Tourist Information Centre. As well as displaying three titles in the gallery space, Black Lodge Press (Yorkshire), Public House Birmingham and Makina Books (London) offer insight into their chosen book titles through anecdotes, feeling inspired and working with texts. Black Lodge Press is a small publishing press based in the North of England. They publish comics and zines by queer and feminist artists. “DIY Culture Forever.”
This is a part of a wider series of lunchtime podcasts in which artists, curators and publishers discuss how they’ve developed their creative communities.
