Joint Decisions is a group show of works of and curated by those who work with the gallery at Brighton CCA.

Exhibiting artists included Joe Ainsworth, Scarlet Croombes, Charlotte Guerard, Jonathan Murphy, Claire Shakespeare, Ashley Sheekey, Conor Statton and Lydia Stonehouse.

This is part of the next edition of COMMUNAL, taking place at Dorset Place, September 2022. Responding to the needs of Brighton’ creative communities we are offering our project space as a resource for practitioners who might benefit from a free space to trial ideas, present work or hold events. Alongside a curated programme, we’re inviting proposals from artists and creative groups to make use of the space for up to three days.

Begun in 2019 the COMMUNAL Dialogues programme uses online and in person gallery space as a site for collaboration, activity, and experimentation. The programme is an ongoing process of sharing resources and networks aimed at building a more sustainable creative ecology in Brighton and a model for supporting our community over the long term. Each edition of COMMUNAL centres on a programme of activity at Brighton CCA underpinned with online materials and documentation on our website.
