A new centre for
contemporary arts at the
University of Brighton

This event is part of Lloyd Corporation

Merry Go Round, Mike Rawlins

Join us for this online talk with Dr Emma Anderson, University of Brighton.

Dr Emma Anderson is a critical social and community psychologist. Her research explores how people make sense of themselves and their lives in the context of neoliberalism, with a particular focus on wellbeing, citizenship and gender. She uses a range of qualitative methods in her work, and this talk will outline a project that explored contemporary constructions of happiness and wellbeing in self-help literature and interview data.

This is part of a programme of events that respond to Today’s gift is tomorrow’s commodity. Yesterday’s commodity is tomorrow’s found art object. Today’s art object is tomorrow’s junk. And yesterday’s junk is tomorrow’s heirloom by Lloyd Corporation.
