Brighton CCA

A new centre for
contemporary arts at the
University of Brighton

This event is part of COMMUNAL

Join us for this special online session co-hosted by Dopple Press and Bits & Pieces bringing life-drawing, writing and riso printing together for the evening!

Taking The Carrier Bag of Fiction as a starting point, Bits & Pieces will get us to explore how stories are told, where we look for detail, and ways of thinking about multiple and collective narratives.

You will be led through a mixture of writing and drawing prompts, including a streamed in life-model, as well as watching your lines and text come to life, printed anonymously and collectively by Liv on the riso.

All abilities welcome. This session will take place on Zoom. Details of how to sign in will be sent 2 hours before start time.

What you will need:
– 5 – 10 sheets of paper
– Something to draw with, charcoal, pencil / your preferred medium / what you have available
– Optional: A way to take photos and send digitally

Bits & Pieces is a playful and provocative workshop series exploring identity, modernity & creativity through life-drawing and creative writing. Facilitators Lucy & Ma’ayan aim to create accessible & relaxed spaces open to any and all, regardless of artistic ability. Bits & Pieces has been running workshops for the last three years and has regular offerings in Brighton and London as well as pop ups at festivals and other events.
